What bad things can happen if I try to tap into the spirit world?

If all spirits are good, why is this a problem?

What I am about to share with you is not conjecture or theory. It is personal experience with the spirit world and various spirit entities. I channel, act as a medium, and work with various spirits and other worldly entities in my own Native American spiritual walk. With these things as background, from my own experience, I can tell you this ... Not all spirits are good. An example would be the spirit of a departed person. Just because they're on the "other side" doesn't mean that their way of thinking or doing has changed. They don't get smarter or helpful just because they're "dead". If they were a liar in this life they may well still be a liar in the next. If they were violent in this life perhaps they still are. As for the rest, (They get called by different names depending on the school of thought involved.) they aren't all the same. Some are more evolved than others. Some aren't as evolved as you or me. Some are much more advanced. They are INDIVIDUALS just as we are, with their own good and bad points. Currently I work with 8 seperate entities. I've come to know these and trust them. But there are others I've dealt with that are neither helpful or benign. I've had to perform exorcisms twice in reference to entities that were of a negative energy. All of this isn't to say that the spirit world is unsafe. I compare it to crossing the street. You look both ways to check for on coming traffic. You take precautions. You do the same thing in reference to working with spirits. I've never really had any bad experiences, allthough one of those exercisms did deal with a VERY negative force. If you DON'T take the proper precautions, and there are various ways to do that but I don't entend to write a book here ... its just to much and to complicated to go into here, you can unleash forces that you would do well to avoid. These forces can bring accident, illness, stress, negative physical manifestations in a home and/or relationship, and more. Many spirits have great power, and just like people they don't all use what they have in a positive way. So, I'd say ... Don't tamper with things like this unless and untill you are well trained to do so. ~ Peace & Blessings ~

When you pass on from one job to another - you remain you isn't it ? Just because you move into a better company does not automatically make you good - remember this.

If all spirits were good - there would not be the 7 spheres of development. Its all about your awakened mind. You pass into the spirit world as you are with your thinking.

Passing over does not make you either good nor does it make you enlightened. You may tap into a spirit who gives you its personal interpretation of the things you ask, it may not be right - unless it is a higher spirit.

Misguidance is what I see as a threat - it may be unintentional but true.

NOT ALL SPIRITS ARE GOOD. THEY CAN BE SOMEWHAT AN AMUSEMENT AT FIRST, THEN YOU WILL SEE WHY WEIRD THINGS HAPPEN TO YOU, THEN YOU KNOW THAT YOU GOT A PROBLEM AND THEN YOU NEED HARDCORE PRAYERS TO GET RID OF THAT SPIRIT. (sorry about the capslock, just want you to know how dangerous it is.)

Detestable Practices
9 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [a] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the LORD your God.

2 Kings 21:6
He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced sorcery and divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.

Isaiah 8
19 When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn. 21 Distressed and hungry, they will roam through the land; when they are famished, they will become enraged and, looking upward, will curse their king and their God. 22 Then they will look toward the earth and see only distress and darkness and fearful gloom, and they will be thrust into utter darkness.

NOT ALL SPIRITS ARE GOOD. Some of them are actually quite pissed off about being spirits in the first place. And you very well may "tap" into one who would like nothing more than to tap you right back.

If your parents catch you, you will probably be grounded or spanked, possibly both.

If you tap into the spirits too much, you will end up drunk and then have a hangover. You'll probably puke all over yourself.

And, if you go outside after you tapped into the spirits, you might get arrested (in addition to the above).

Stay away from the spirits until you are 21 or older.

As other people have already noted, not all spirits are good.
There is no such thing like the 'force' of star wars, which will let you use it and not ask for anything in return. It will begin to use you. There are biblical warnings against it, which should be sufficient for the wise. If you would like to be safe from evil spirits, ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, and ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit, so that there will not be room for any other.

If you don't wish to do that, I can only quote from Also Sprach Zarathustra: "Fight not with monsters lest you become a monster; and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you."

Sounds like there are a lot of christian fundies out there scared of their own shadows. I agree that not all spirits are good, nor are they all bad. To say that all psychics,tarot readers, runes readers, pendulum readers are in partnership with Satan!!!!! That is about as laughable as saying that the catholic religion is descended from rainbows? If you are interested in spirits I would advise you to talk to a knowledgeable person from the new age circuit or even if you know of or heard of a witch, Yes I said a witch.

Spirit world is satans area, you tap in those places of mysticism, magic and so called spirit world you are inviting satan to decieve and trap you. Stay away from those things. None of that is from God. Magic is real but not of God and those that are believers have the Holy Spirit who tells them to stay away from that.

Not all are good and LOTS of bad stuff can happen.

I really do not sugest you mess with it unless you know what you are doing.

The biggest problem is when people use something to tap into it with out closing up that conection........ I mean it's like leaving the door to your house wide open when you go out, it's just asking for trubble.

Because all sporots are not good. Trying to tap inot the spirit world, especially when you are alone, is a dongerous thing to do.
