Maybe body language has something to so with it, but I cant say for sure.

Maybe subconsciously yeah, but you should be able to pick up better vibes from him than that.
Focus on the eyes, they don't lie if he is burning a whole into you and paying attention to what you are talking about he likes you OR if he is tentative and is afraid to make eye contact he likes you but not sure how to proceed.

I've heard that if people stand with their feet turned in it means they are comfortable with you. But I don't know if I buy it.
