Leylines are lines (originally thought to be "psychic power" lines) circling the planet. At intersections, power levels are very high, and in other areas, cancel each other out. It has been found that spiritual construction (religious worship sites, centers of government) tend to be constructed on leyline nodes.

As scientists come to understand the Earth's electromagnetic fields better, they are seeing a correlation between ancient leyline mapping and modern electromagnetic field maps.

Science is showing that we are electromagnetically sensitive (less than sharks, more than you'd think) and that people relatively very sensitive to electromagnetic fields and changes are the ones with "psychic" power.

Lay lines link various ancient sites. Churches were frequently built on old religious sites. Burial mounds, stone henge and similar sites.

On any English map if you can put a straight line through 5 such sites then the chances are it is a lay line.
