Why do little kids pick their noses and eat the boogers?

As my past boss used to say at a daycare because it makes sense to the kids. "Why else would God make a finger the perfect size to go up a nose?"

A lot of things that are grose kids like to do. My daughter gets a kick out of eating her boogers and everytime I tell her to stop because its icky she laughs. I don't know the real reason, I used to do it when I was younger but soon grew out of it.

I think they just like the reaction of what adults give to them. I admit some are pretty amusing, especially the one my mother gives.

Because the boogers are stuck in their noses, so they pick their noses then they think it look good so they eat it.

They really dont know any better, at first they only know that there is something in there that is keeping them from getting air and so they use their fingers to get it out. then like little kids the do what is normal for them, everything goes in their mouths. So until parents teach them not to do this they will continue.

same reason big kids and adults pick there nose and eat it. i drive down the road all the time and see adults pick there noses in there cars and eat. gggggrrrooooooosssssss.

What is the difference between boogers and brocolli....kids won't eat brocolli. They just do.
