The Jews did not kill Jesus. The Romans did not either. Mankind as a whole did, or more accurately, Jesus love for mankind.

Nails did not and could not hold the Creator to the cross. Only love could.

Almost all Jews did not recognize that Jesus (pbuh) was the promised Messiah that they had been praying for all of those centuries. They believed that first, Elijah would come and then Moses would come as their Messiah. These were the signs to look for in order to find the True Messiah.

Elias came all right, so did the Messiah.... but and not as the Jews imagined. John the Baptist was Elias returned, but came unreconized. Elias did not return physically, but it was the same spirit of loving herald and warner that came back, in the person of John the Baptist. Jesus was the returned Messiah, but since He was a spiritual King and not an earthly one like the Jews expected, they rejected Him.

Btw, a spiritual kingdom doesn't die, so why would God ever send an earthly king? Things that make you go hmmmm.

Jewish leaders 1) didn't believe Him, 2) said he was a heretic, 3) had A LOT TO LOSE if Jesus really was in fact the Messiah. They were the most threatened of all Jews, because once the Messiah came, they lost their position altogether. They had everything to lose! So of course they tried to shut him up, and they thought killing Him would be the answer!

The Jewish leaders sent Jesus to Pilate to have him killed, they didn't do the killing themselves. The Jewish mob pressured Pilate into having Jesus crucified. Rather than have a crazy mob on his hands, Pilate agreed, and Jesus was crucified.

The Jews thought they finally killed Jesus and His movement..... but we know their scheme didn't turn out as planned.

The pharisees and saducees were jewish preists hung up on the traditions and did not see that Jesus was the Messiah they had been waiting for. The Romans were the ones who crucified Him because of the urging of the Jews. Jesus had thousands of followers who were Jewish who knew He was the promised Messiah. Many of the Christians died in persecution from the Jews. They stood up for the truth of Jesus Christ. Read a gospel and the book of Acts.

The Jews turned Jesus over to the Romans to be killed because...

So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Council and said, "What are we to do? For this man performs many signs. If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation."

But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all. Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish."

He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad. John 11:47-52

Do you remember hearing the story of Christ going to the Temple and throwing out the money changers, The Temple had to sell sacrifice animals to make money and they also changed foreign currency (Egyptian coins and Roman coins in to Temple money..In each case they made money, To pay their taxes to Roman,,Jesus taught that doing business in the House of God was ,Wrong...He also had preformed Miracles on the Sabbath. Afraid he was going to start trouble with the Romans. They had to quiet him..So they turned him over to Pilate ( Pilate was the Roman Governor)..This took the blood from their hands...The charge was he said he was the Son of God (they didn't want to raise the issue of the disturbance in the Temple) Pilate being a smart man sent him to the (Mayor) of Jerusalem in turn sent him back to Pilate. Remember Christ was asked three times if he was THE Son of God and three times he did not answer. So Pilate tried to release him Thur a forgiven es vote to the citizens,, They are the ones that crucified him. But Jesus never provoked his accusers. and he never proclaimed innocents, Which helped put him on the cross..His Blood was to replace the animal blood that was shed in sacrifice..Taking the power of forgiveness away from the Priest by preforming the rituals and putting into the hands of all people..Not just the ones that could afford the price of an animal

it wasn't the entire race that killed jesus christ it was their leaders who thought that he was not telling the truth when he claimed to be king of the Jews they expected the king to make a grand entrance many are still waiting for him to come. When a man that was born in bethlehem and was of no royal blood claimed to be their king they thought that it was a hoak. but then once they killed him many realized that the was the Son of God and repented. IN several gospels it talks about how the guard that helped hang jesus on the cross said this truely must be the Son of God he said I think when Jesus commended his spirit. Just remember that it was the Jewish leaders not the jewish people

The Jews did not kill Jesus. The Romans killed Jesus (if in fact he died) crucifixion was not a Jewish form of execution--the only ones crucifying people in that time and place were the Romans.

If the Jews were going to kill Jesus, they would have stoned him to death.

Lakota Bob is kinda right...the Roman soldiers actually killed Jesus but it was the Jews that sent Him to be killed.

They were mad because He was saying He was the King of Jews (and He really was) but they got confussed and let the Devil get inthe way.

However, I am glad He actually did die ro He would n't have been able to come back to life and take me to heaven with Him...PTL

the Jews as an religious group did not kill Jesus, a bunch of people who were Jewish, killed Jesus. That is like saying that all of the German people participated in the NAZI's "final solution", and that is not true

Sorry you flunked the test. The Jews pushed for his death. It was the Romans (GENTILES - non Jews) who killed Jesus. Read the Bible instead of listening to racist Jew haters.

In essence all races were involved in one way or another.
