I had a massive heart attack a few years ago and I did not see any thing. I did have a feeling of peace that I cannot describe in words. To remember it bring tears to my eyes. This experience made me kinder. I am more tolerant of others, I have more patience and I make sure people know I love them through my actions..

A few hours after the birth of my baby, with the nurse aid's assisting I got to move around my room for a bit. I looked at them and said "I'm going" and passed out. While out, I left my body and was floating above myself while I watched. Nurses were rustling around, I could even see the nurses in the hallway -- which wasn't physically possible. I watched their panic -- they thought I was bleeding internally -- hollering down the hall for someone to call my doctor, get a cart in here, get an OR prepped, etc. Then I looked (not physically, but from above) at the blood pressure machine. My blood pressure was 60 / 40 (normal is 120/80) and I remember thinking "I have just had a beautiful baby girl, I can't die now, she needs her momma". Then I floated back into my body and woke up. The nurses were so confused because my blood pressure when right back up to normal. They never did find out why my body crashed. I left the hospital the next day with my baby girl.

When I was 18 years old, I jumped into a swimming pool but jumped at the wrong end and I didn't know how to swim. I was going under and drowning and apparently no one saw me jump in! People usually say that your whole life flashes before your eyes when you're about to die but as I was gasping for air and thrashing underwater, it wasn't my whole life that flashed before my eyes nor the ugly and terrible things that I had done but the best times of my life, my family, my most cherished friends, my favorite activities. This may sound weird, but it felt more like I felt so sorry that my death was about to cause so much pain to so many people that loved me and I was going to miss my life. As for how I'm still alive right now, well, in my thrashing underwater I somehow incredibly managed to find a niche in the wall I was beside and I pulled myself to the surface. I still remember everything so clearly as if it had happened yesterday.

I choked on a spitball. I thought I was going to choke to death (it was a big one). I was saying the sinners prayer when someone slapped me on the back and I coughed it out. People say your life flashes before your eyes. Only one thing was on my mind. AIR. I could not breathe. I haven't made a spitball since. I'm just glad I lived.
Hey, I'm not kidding. It really happened.

No, but I have often heard people that have heart attacks or open heart surgery have experiences like that. My dad had a heart attack and had to be shocked with a defib.( he didn't have an experience) and he was offered counceling because some people have issues with that.
