It is, what century do you live in. Lipton makes a great instant tea, especially when it is served over ice with a slice of lemon. That is how we do it here in America. I prefer to make sun tea. I put cold fresh water in a clean gallon jug _add about 4 or 5 tea bags of your choice and cover and set in sun until the color is just right. Then I put it in the refrigerator and chill and serve over ice. Why would you want powder when you can have this?

There is instant tea just like there is instant coffee. Instant tea is simply not as fresh tasting as brewed tea is. That is true with coffee too! However if you really want the instant kind, I would try the Nestea brand.

Tea is a leaf, not a bean like coffee. It would taste funny if it dissolved in water (That's why you use tea bags so that the leaves aren't swirling around in your cup while you drink it).

Actually, several brands make "instant" tea, which can be disolved (Koolade style) into water to make tea. Usually it's iced tea, however. There really doesn't seem to be a market for "instant" hot tea. Besides, like "instant" coffee, it probably wouldn't taste as good as real tea.

Never heard or tasted of Nestea? I've got some green tea chewing gum I use when I'm getting sleepy driving or such. Sorry, dude, but my grandmother used it when I was a kid, which was a while back.
