it will probably never be legal because of people like some of your previous responders. it is not addictive (unlike alcohol or nicotine) and has been proven to NOT cause lung cancer AND as someone already said, you CAN'T overdose on it. As someone else already said, though, unless the government can control it (and oil companies can profit from it) they will keep relying on uninformed sheep like the prvious posters to vote for "law and order" candidates who imprison people (and sieze their property before they stand trial), to keep us "safe" from the "devil weed"
prison building is big business and inmates are basically slave labor for locals around the prison.

I do not think it will ever be legal because its to easy to manufacture yourself and too many different kinds. As far as it being more harmful than tobacco or alcohol I would say no.

move to Jamaica.. its legal there... to smoke at least not to sell.. but ppl are going to do it no matter what.. i think that alcohol is more dangerous cuz u can OD on alcohol.. but you have to smoke like 500 pds of weed to OD.. and if any one can smoke that much.. damn they must be hella rich

There are many groups (including "NORML") that support and are trying to legalize Marijuana.
Either way, legal or not, people are going to do it.

it should be legal but probably will never be. the government will always need a reason to fine, jail , and ruin people lives.

I think its equally as bad as any other drug, tobacco and alcohol included. Nevada is voting later this year to legalize it there, so maybe. But not for a while.

As you probably know by now, legalizing alcohol and
tobacco was the wrong thing to do. Alcohol causes more
automobile deaths and accidents than any other cause.
Tobacco is causing lung cancer and thousands of deaths.
So, tell me now, why should anyone want to legalize another
mind-altering substance that is bad for you and down the
road we'll discover how many deaths and other deviat actions
it causes. So, let's hope Marijuana is never legalized.

It isnt good for you. Can put you in limbo mentally.
flip side is that its not even close to the dangers of meth and cocaine. Stay sober as much as possible. everything in moderation.
