A friend that raises Persians showed me a product that is sold by Walmart called Maximum Nutrition for kittens. It's main ingredient is meat, not corn meal and it is good for all cats. My cats love it and we've had no problems with it....

We have a 7 yo. persian cat (Blue Creamer) and we lived first in Europe (Amsterdam) and now in Rio de Janeiro, during the last 7 years we have experimented with some different brands consistent good results we only achieved with "Royal Canin" for persian cats - He doesn't have much problems with hair balls anymore and when we changed to other food he actually started to get sick (threw up several times) Other cats can easily eat Royal Canin, the thing is that it seams a bit expensive but in general it's not because yoiu don't need to feed them much. Take care with cheap brands, they make the food salty so cats start to eat more. Royal Canin in Europe and Brazil has a bit different make up (the Brazilian contains a bit more fat) so we generally give a bit smaller portion. Once and a while when we order in Japanese food we let him have a fresh piece of tuna. (Somehow he loves that and green olives)
