what happens at the reception? at some wedding i went to they formed a circle around the couple and each person shook the bride and grooms hand before they left, is this a christian thing?

like why do they wrap those cords around the bride and groom? why do they throw bouquets over the shoulder, is this only done at christian weddings?

Well at christian weddings we usually wear white wedding gowns, the veil symbolizes that the bride is a virgin and is being given away to the groom!!!
The whole thing with the flowers(banquet) being frown over her shoulder thing is just to loosen up the wedding and the one who catch the flowers (woman - single) is going to marry next, is the belief!!!
Then usually the bride stands on a chair and the groom has to pull a material thing from under her dress (it is around her upper thigh) and then all the single men has to catch it!!! Same theory - the one who catch the thingy is also next in line to get married!!!!
At my sisters wedding in January, I cached the flowers and my man cached the material thingy!!!!Ha Ha Ha!!!!

By "Christian" do you mean true churchgoing christians, or do you just mean "western"? I've never heard of the circle thing.

Well, at my parents wedding, they got their groove on! It was soooo funny! Anyway, christians dont do anything different. We're people too!
