The hottest thing you can do and be somewhat funny about it is to make eye contact, smile and give him a wink. If you can give him the look as if you know something devilish about him and blow him a little kiss. Then walk away. He will follow you like a lost puppy.

I dunno about "heat", especially in public, or "guys" in general, I can only speak for my own slightly weird self....
--saying hi, especially when I am looking at her already and having trouble figuring out how to start, is a godsend and if women are wanting to do just that, Please DO....a little wave, smile, and some eye contact with that "hello" is good too, shows me you are genuine, or at least trying...
--once the conversation is going, some physical contact, just something light and casual, is good--classic flirting never goes out of style. Neither does some light casual "footsie" meaning foot contact sitting, light and casual, or leg/hip contact standing...
And now for my own personal weirdnesses:
--cute, girly, kinda squeaky or accented voices are a bit of a swoony thing with me. Doesn't have to be exaggerated or faked, but if you genuinely sound different when you talk, don't hide it, I love voices and if you have a uniquely girly one, I'll wanna listen to it so long as you have interest in me...
--this might get some women hating on me, but....I am attracted to women who dress up once in a while....who do know how to dress sexy or romantic or girly....and while I have my own eccentricities as regards style, truth is at the start of things, if you go through the trouble to be pretty for um, *me*, I'll be flattered, and impressed, and you'll have my attention more so than usual (which is bad of me I know, since I dress casual too much myself, so I really can't expect this more than once in a blue moon, huh?)
--as somebody who is sorta plain-looking in real life, and who has been rejected a LOT by friends, family , lots of girls growing up for being "too ugly" or whatever...any physical contact you make is going to mean something to me....really. I might be a bit twitchy about it at first not being used to it, but you know, it's only because folks don't touch me like they should. Really. I'm ok you know, not radioactive or anything, and I don't bite....if you brush my hand, you can linger a bit, if you brush my hip and leg, you can lean a little bit.... :) I won't mind if you are friendly and interested in me.
--biggest thing though is to open up a little and give *me* something to work with and respond to. So many women are just closed off lately, unapproachable, walls up...so yeah, let me have something to work with, a bit to talk about or share with you too....
And that is about all I am going to say about that...any more and folks might get all sorts of wrong ideas, *lol*. :p

There is not really a way to get a guy's attention expect by being yourself because he should really know you and not some other behavior be yourself that is it and if it is not interested in you, so be it.
