It is proper that music be one means by which the church expresses her unity. Singing is an act which unites God's people at all times in history, on heaven and earth in the common praise of God.
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" Psalm 133:1
Singing is to be an outward manifestation of ones faith and joy. It is in response to God's saving work and finds expression not in unhindered self-expression, but in humble, disciplined participation in the Body of Christ.
By singing, we are reminded (and remind others) of the reality of the Church's unity in Christ, her presence on heaven and earth, of our individual contribution as a member of the Body, and, preeminently, of our great God who is the subject of our praise.

Because they want to. It's not a form of entertainment. They love to sing and dance. They want to give God the Glory and Praise. Heaven will be that way too. They sing without music sometimes but music is so beautiful when used.

It's called praise and thanksgiving and worship through music, which God himself requested of us. He doesn't ask much of us, but He does like to hear us sing in a joyful voice. It's one of the reasons He created us in the first place.
But yes. You CAN praise God without music. Anytime you lift His name and give Him glory, you please Him.
And again, yes. To some it is also a form of entertainment, as to some people, any music that does not lift up the name of the Lord God, and glorify His name, is a sacriledge. There are some Southern Baptist sects who consider it a sin to sing songs and listen to music other than that of praise and worship. This is what gave rise to the "alternative Christian", "contemporary Christian", and "Christian rock" bands that have become ever increasingly popular.

Yes and they do praise god without music sometimes. I don't know I think many things in church are crap but singing is in the bible. I mean theres a book called 'song of solomon' and it explicitly says in the bible to sing praises when you're happy, doubles as entertainment yes and it gets the kids involved

We do praise God without music but it is one of the gifts that God gave us so we use it to praise Him.

It's funny that they sing such garbage music. I'm sure that if there is a god he listens to Underoath and he.is.legend.
Hey, if angels sing that garbage in heaven, I'd rather go to hell where they play Black Sabbath 24 hours a day.
