Well..I agree with this person above me.

You see...many people say that if you're gay, you go straight to hell. But I don't believe that. If you truely are sorry for your actions and you know that being gay is a sin, and you ask for forgiveness and you ask God to help you change your ways, he will forgive you and you may enter the kingdom of heaven as long as you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior.

However, if you just say to God, please forgive me for being gay, and you don't intend on changing your behavior, that will get you no where. You have to take action on giving up those feelings. You have to really want to stop and confess that it's a sin. That's when God will forgive you and and not send you to hell. You can not expect someone to forgive you if you just continue your life in the same sin. That makes the confession worthless.

I hope this makes sense to you. If it does not, I will try my best to help explain it to you more if needed. Just ask. I'll be praying for you and this situation because I know that it can be extremely difficult. Good luck hun and God bless you.

Just make sure you understand that God loves the individual, however, their behavior and life choice will lead them into bondage that will harden their hearts to God's eternal salvation. Because Homosexuality involves so much emotional investment, it is almost impossible to tell the them the truth without being labeled with very harsh epithets.

Remember, the sin of homosexuality is no blacker than my sin. And if the Christian truly hated homosexuals, they would keep the message of salvation to themselves, not try to change them, and let them go on their merry way to destruction. But because we care, we take the slings and arrows of 90% of the media and public to speak the truth. Hopefully with love and salt.

The Bible states that homosexuality is behavioral, for Paul states that many of the new believers had been delivered from homosexuality in

1 Corinthians 6:9-11,

Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites... will inherit the kingdom of God. And SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

If it were a genetic thing, then the Bible would not have shown that some were delivered. Your argument is with the Bible. If you do not believe the Bible, then your concern is moot. If you believe the Bible is the Word of God, then it states that you can be born again, transformed by the renewing of your mind, washed and cleansed.

I don't believe so. You are who you are, and if Christians honor their own belief system they cannot dismiss you because you are a child of God, same as everyone else, according to the Bible.

ADDITION: I just read where someone said "all sins are equal in God's eyes"...I had to come back and reply to that...I believe people have the right to their own beliefs, but to essentially say ALL sins are 'equal' to God & that you can be forgiven for a lie the same as if you killed someone is more than I'm willing to stand by and not respond to. Good grief, what they are saying is that you can commit any horrific sin and still go to Heaven just by repenting. I can't buy that...sorry, and I certainly wouldn't live my life thinking I could do any wrong thing and 'go to heaven' just because I could later say 'sorry' to Jesus.

You're still very young and should be careful of listening to what strangers say to you, go with what you know to be right in your heart. Good Luck.

This is one of the largest problems of being a Christian in the most fundamental sense and being a mnority. So many people and mundane acts are condemned by various interpretations of the Bible. However, there are churches that see gays and lesbians as equal children of the same God as everyone else. Look around in your community. You will find churches that love and not condemn you.

No you won't. The bible is a bunch of fairytales that some guys made up a lonnnnnng time ago. I'm sure there is a higher power out there. & i'm sure he's "forgiving." Not that you should have to be forgiven about something that is natural. No matter what the holy rollers say.

Leviticus 18: 22 says "you shall not lie with a male as a woman. It is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 says - " If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death.
I suggest you repent and don't act on that temptation again.

Um well okay I'm not religous at all but I don't think that you'll go to hell.... if God is so great like people say he is he shouldn't punish yo ufor something that you have absolutley no control over... I have gay Christian people in my family too... they are perfectly fien they just said that God acceps them how they are.... don't worry about it honestly.... but if you do feel bad then get help from one of your closest friends or family. Its better that way instead of on here beacuse your friends know you ... they know your situation better than yahoo! answer people do.... but just remember everyone is different....

Confess them as a sin and ask God to help you with your problem! No you will not go to Hell if you repent for them! Remeber...all sins are equal in Gods eyes....so he sees the lie that I probably told last week, and your actions being all the same!

I don't know where you will go, but I imagin that it should hurt, because when I am constipated it hurts to defecate. Therefore, doing it the wrong way, I believe it should be even more painful.
By the way, what kind of Christian you are if you say that you have acted on that ?

Luke 5

The Calling of Levi
27After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, 28and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.
29Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"

31Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

---

Jesus comes to the world because we need His help. As long as you have that drive to do the right thing and continuously hold on to God's unfailing love, I am sure that God will forgive you.

---

By the way, aside from religion, I am concerned about the high number of HIV and AIDS amongst homosexuals, so I just want to to be careful of that.
