Pitbulls, I have two of them. Love the breed!!

I never felt this way until my neighbor's dog had puppies. I was one of those who would have never owned a pitbull. After watching the cute puppies and playing with them through the fence and knowing that when my neighbor's grandchildren came to visit and they would be in the yard with the dogs and there was never any problem with the pits attacking anyone, I thought I would give it a chance and get one of the pups.

I fell in love with my pitbull and he is so smart and funny!!
I love my dogs dearly and they are the best. They are very family loyal and they love children. My first pit will be three July 2nd and he is a sweet heart. It is so easy to spoil these dogs. They love affection. I ended up getting another one and she is almost 10 months. Loves the children as well.

They get a bad rep but these dogs deserve lots of love as any other dog does. They should be socialized as any other dog should be socialized.

This is a breed that should be kept in the house and live around and among the family. They should not be tied or chained to a tree in the backyard and no one comes around to give the dog attention or love. That should not happen for any breed but especially APBT.

So American Pitbull Terrier is my favorite breed !!

Any dog is good, but shelter dogs, no matter the type or breed, are the best IMHO. Cheaper (a plus in anyone's mind), older so you don't have to go through the puppy stages and sometimes even trained, and you are saving a life! Also, if you want specific breeds, you can go to breed rescues or ask around. Many shelters keep lists of breed rescues in the area too.
Oh, and if you are asking my favorite breed, it's Shetland sheepdog (sheltie). My 5 year old is a rescue, and the most loyal thing ever. Plus, in just a year I trained her in obedience and to be a "trick dog" for therapy work...

Ever since I was a kid, I had a thing for German Shepherds. They have a grand sense of humour, great loyalty and extremely clever. I am not sure of the source but someone once wrote that whoever claims a dog does not have a soul has never looked into the eyes of a german shepherd.

Hot Dogs;) LOL just kidding, I really like labs, cuz I use to love playing Frisbee with my former boss's lab, man could that dog run like blazes, then leap 6-8 feet in the air and catch the Frisbee on a full out run:)

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They have the cutest, kindest personalities. All they want is affection and they give it back to you ten fold. Such a hugable, lovable dog. I would never get any other.

Wire Fox Terriers. They're the cutest dog breed, even though my Wire is constantly getting into trouble!
