This is not a dumb question. As long as you get the head it will be OK. I worked for a vet back in high school and the ticks that id not come off with the bath we pulled off.

it really depends on what type of tick it was
sometimes the head comes off when you pull a tick off
keep a close eye on her and if she seems to start getting sick in the next few days take her to the vet right away as she could be getting tick poisoning..
if she is fine.. then you probably got all of it.
I have a cat who had tick poisoning really bad and she lived til a ripe old age (around 20yrs) so it isn't always deadly...

I would put a little peroxide on the spot where you pulled it off if it was real big..it helps prevent infection. I've pulled tons of ticks off my dogs over the years, with no problems....don't use peroxide for you hair...get 10%..look at your grocery store by the medications,it comes in a little brown plastic bottle. I have always kept it around for my pets, you never know what they will get into.

Part of the tick is unlikely to be there, but you should consider having her checked for more and getting her a tick and flea killing shampoo to be on the safe side.
If the mouth of the tick is still in your dog's skin, it won't pose a problem.

If you never saw a tick before how did you know it was one? The world works in so many damn ways.

Well, all you have to do is check the spot in a few days and if there is nothing there then it is just fine.
