I'm sure Mother Nature is already working on some kind of plague or disease to wipe us off the face of the earth since this planet probably feels like we are fleas crawling all over it. If not, then I suppose a huge comet should be coming around at some point, smashing into the earth and hitting it so hard that vast quantities of dust and debris will be hurled into the atmosphere, blocking out the sun, forcing the planet to go into another ice age. This planet has been hit about every 64 million years, wiping out all life from it's surface. The earth has been inhabited by different lifeforms before the dinosaurs which were wiped out in this manner.

Human is too broad a term. We are a species called Homo Sapiens. Other humans such as Homo Erectus, and Neanderthals have already become extinct. When we start manipulating DNA we will create other human species, and they may live on after there are no more Homo Sapiens.
Of course we could all die today if the Earth is hit by a large space object such as a comet or asteroid.
Take it easy, and enjoy your life.

Land will be covered with water due to Global Warming. Efforts are still made only to prevent Global Warming. We assume Global Warming also, to be a natural phenomenon and we have already crossed our limits in preventing it.
Humans will become extinct if they do not consider the above mentioned.

Dinosaurs ruled the Earth for 165 million years.
We have been here at most 3 million.
Civilized man has been here just 4 or 5 thousand years.
Our technological society has been here just 300 years.
So I am not taking any bets.
But you can be sure we will become extinct - every species does.

I don't think they will become extinct.
Humans have a real advantage over other animals in that we are able to control our environment.
We are also able to disperse ourselves effectively, as mainly because of the above envirnomental control.
So humans should be able to leave earth and find and populate other planets and solar systems... This severly reduces the chances of man's extinction.

humans will never be extinct. For this reason, we will either leave the planet for other planetary systems to colonize or we will find a way to stop the sun from exploding and/or stop all and any kind of alien attack that may arise.

Most likely the human race will be terminated when the earth itself is destroyed (by natural or other forces). Although we are adaptable to changes in our own environment, we have yet to extend our habitat to other planets. Therefore, as it stands right now, when this planet is gone, so are we.

When the sun begins turning into a Red Giant and expands. The sun will grow so big it will eat up Mercury and Venus, but of course, by that time it will be so hot on earth it will be cripified.

Well given technology, I see that we will destroy each other in the next 50 years. There is so much still undiscovered which is much more destructive than anything we have today!
or maybe 12 years, just keep electing republicans. :\
