Do I really want wax in my food? Is it clean?

It's made from a food-grade wax, so it would be safe to eat. Cheesemakers sometimes use different colors of wax to tell their products apart.

The "orange stuff" around the cheese is just a rind to protect the cheese....the rind is safe to eat, but i wouldn't suggest it though, just peel off the rind and enjoy!

It is a protective ring to keep it from drying out. It won't hurt you but it is made from wax.
