Why was Eve created from Adam's rib? Why not from his head or his feet?

To ensure the equality of men and women.
Rib is in the middle, not too high and not to low.
Feet? It will mean that women are under men's feet, shows that men have control over women. so, it's not good =)
Head is too high. It will mean that women are superior than men.
So, God chooses the rib.

The Bible doesn't say why God chose a rib. It says : Gensis 2:21-23
So the Lord God caused the man to sleep very deeply, and while he was asleep, God removed one of the man's ribs. Then God closed up the man's skin at the place where he took the rib. The Lord God used the rib from the man to make a woman, and then he brought the woman to the man.And the man said,"Now, this is someone whose bones came from my bones, whose body came from my body. Eve was created from Adam's rib so that she was a part of who Adam is, just as a wife is to be a part of who her husband is. The rib is close to the heart, & it is a protector of the heart, just as a wife should be to her husband.
She was not created from Adam's head because she is not meant to be the leader, & she was not created from his foot as she is not meant to be his footstool, or slave, but rather from his center, for it is at the center that all things are best!

Eve was created from the rib to be beside the man, close to his heart and under his arm. Not from his head to be above him, not from his feet to be beneath him.

Because men have one more rib on the left side than on the right. Early theologians decided god did that when it made Eve. True.

Ah, I remember this joke.
"Adam was alone in the Garden of Eden and he gets lonely, so he asks God to make him a companion. God says, well, I can make you this wonderful woman who will cook gourmet meals for you whenever you ask, clean up after all your messes, and do whatever you tell her to do. But, she will cost you an arm and a leg. Adam considers, looking at his arm and leg, then says to God, well, what can I get for a rib?"

hehe..the only thing a womans head is used for is to know how to open a bottle of beer and god didn't want her feet to be adam's because the smaller they are the closer to the kitchen sink they can stand hehe check ya later â¥
