The Bible doesn't require church attendance as a stipulation of heaven.

Your boyfriend is at peace. There is life beyond us here, regardless of what anyone believes in or doesn't believe in. Its not heaven or hell actually. Its just a different level of existence full of choices and decisions just like this one is.

He may need some recovery time since he had a hard life here on earth but he will be visiting you if he hasn't already. Our loved ones visit us in our dreams. He will come to you and talk to you and let you know that he is fine and you shouldn't be worried.
Our loved ones also visit us thru little signs like a bird that may act strangely - I get birds tapping on my window pane wanting to be noticed, or a butterfly that seems to just be listening or waiting for you.

Your boyfriend is not being tortured in some flaming pit or wandering around in limbo "stuck". He is fine and you will be too.

Your focus right now should be on your young children and being the best parent you can be for them.

Going to a church or being a member of a church is not what saves a person; having a relationship with Jesus and repentance of sin is what saves us.

"Jesus said to the woman, 'Because you believed, you are saved from your sins. Go in peace.'"

"I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."

Two words of encouragement; first, you will have a hard time finding any evidence in the Bible that there is an ever burning hell. Those who are dead are neither in paradise nor in torment right now. Second, only God can know what is in a person's heart, and he will be a fair judge.

God is not a respecter of persons. However, there are some scriptures in the Bible that talk about a person being given eternal life just for giving a certain person(A believer a cup of cold water) "As you've done it unto the least of these, you've done it unto me" People don't go to hell for how they lived their life; per say; they go to hell for unbelief. Now; if you are a believer; and this is not an iron-clad guarentee, but, there is a chance that the one's you really love may be in heaven. But that is not in the rapture. That is done during a period where Jesus is separating the sheep from the goats, and letting in people who are freinds of the Bride.

I don't go to church but I am a christian because I know the lord and talk to him everyday and read my bible. I would say it the only thing that defines a christian is belief. You said he did cruel things in his life so I don't know if he had the Lord in his heart because the Lord is not cruel but no one can answer this for you. Maybe he did confess to the Lord before he passed away. In my opion, I can't speak for God having a drinking problem does not doom you to hell...that would be my guess. All you need is the Lord that is what defines a Christian.

No one has a free ticket to heaven. We can't determine where people go after death, that is the Lords decision
alone. God prefers us to worship in his home, church, and be among his people. It does not mean you will go to hell if you don't. I always watch Charles Stanley on Sunday. He is with INTOUCH MINISTRIES. I must correct myself the little children , the babies should they die a early death go to heaven.

Hunny, don't worry. I believe that even after you die, God gives you a chance to profess your love to him and confess your sins. God is a loving God, he does not turn away anyone who wishes to live eternally with him. Even though your children's father might not have went to church and did some bad things in his life, God will not turn his back on him. It might not haev been his fault that he chose the live he lived. It has a lot to do with how he was raised .. and how his parents were raised, no offense to them though. Everyone believes something different, and I hope and pray that he is with God.

If he did good he will be rewarded. It doesn't matter what god you worship. If you are a good person then you can go to heaven if you want to.
I am sorry for your loss. If you do your best to let go of him and move on he will also rest more peacefully.

You don't have to go to church to be able to go to Heaven. All you need to do is ask forgiveness for your sins and ask Jesus into your heart as your Savior.

I said a prayer for you and your children.

Whatever you choose to believe that helps you deal with difficulties or tragedies is what you should believe.

No one can tell you what happens after death, so our opinions are irrelevant.

Believe whatever helps make you a better person.

That is all that really matters.

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my boyfriend and child's father over a year ago. He said he was a Christian but didn't act like it at all. He had a drug problem and had an overdose.
