It is perfectly safe. I have been dying my hair since grade 5 or so. Although NEVER use "sun in" damages your hair sooo bad!! And if you do dye your hair dont dye it too often cause it will kill your hair. And another suggestion, stick with the more normal colors, dont go for hot pink, cause it really does look bad.
(btw im the daughter of dellajoy2000, above)

Yes, my daughter has been experimenting with hair colours for years. She is 15 and just came home with the front half a darker colour because she was at a friends house and someone said "I feel like dying something"....it was hair dye and her friends thought I'd be mad. I thought she should have done it a bit more radically. But I do want to tell you do NOT use "Sun In" because she used to use that and it eventually made her hair feel like over-cooked noodles when it was wet and we spent a lot of money of products to repair it, then dyed it back to it's normal colour so it would grow in okay.

lot safer than taking drugs or drinking alcohol
i may not be the best for your hair ,but that will grow new hair again,
the question is will you be safe from your parents and friends ,they may give you a hard time at first ,
but then again al teens go through stages of bodily decoration
who cars do what you are happy with .
just dont do the bad stuff mentioned before

Save in terms of health, but not save for the hair as it is exposed to damage due to chemical in the dye in a very young age.

Dye is a dangerous chemical which have been proved to be toxic especially to skin and gastrointestinal system. It's responsible for many intestinal cancers each year! Its true for everybody the old and the young.

Don't do it!!! I dyed my hair at a young age and it's ruined. Even after the dye grows out the damage to your follicles is still there.

This may sound a little "out there", but it is a fact - hair dyeing is a risk factor for bladder cancer.. other than that, none that I know of

lots of kids do it, but really it is not safe for anybody, after so long, your hair can begin to fall out. I would make him wait until he is older and understands what can happen. Just tell him (like my parents told me) when you are under my roof, you follow my rules.
