just ask there no wrong way to ask that question as a matter of fact i am about to go ask my boyfriend the same question!!

You ask him where is the relationship going. (example: Where do you see yourself in 2years, What do you think you will be doing, Where do you see us? after he answers the questions ask him where do you see this relationship going honestly and tell him he can take his time answering that.) If he never revisits the question you need to answer ask it to yourself and think about if you want to continue with the relationship without certainty.
Bottom line: You just ask him.

If you have good, honest and open communication, try something along the lines of: "You know, [guy], we've been together for [time], and I'm really enjoying myself. Have you thought about where this relationship is going?"
If you don't have good, honest and open communication: get it. Without it, this relationship is going down the tubes sooner or later, no matter where he thinks it's going.

Like this...."Boyfriend, where is this relationship going"? See how easy that is. Of course you should insert the proper name and all that. Don't mince words, be direct and up front and if he bolts, then you got your answer and were better off without him.

just ask! I'm a guy, in a almost 3 years relationship, if my girlfriend had doubts or any questions i would like to have them straight out.

just tell him how you feel and then tell him that you need to know how he feels. if he dont feel the same way just move on. some one deserves to have some one special that the both feel the same way. so why stay in a relationship that you know is not going anywhere

Talk loudly about marriage over dinner, hint that you may be pregnant. Show up at his house without calling and wearing elaborate wedding dresses, and talk constantly about what you're thinking of naming the baby.

Start a general conversation about marriage... either someone you know who's getting married or a couple you think should get married, and just kind-of slip in a "what about us"? and see where he takes the conversation.
