Up to 5 days non stop because it's foreplay for 2 days and than actual mating 3 days.

A cat in heat "will last 4 - 10 days and will cycle (about every 2 to 3 weeks) until the female mates, is spayed, or goes out of season."

I was told by our cats vet that cats will stay in heat until they are either fixed or they mate and get prego. Our prego cat was in heat off and on (last for about a week or so, then leave for a day or so, then back again) for two months--until she mated and got prego! Once the babies are weaned, tho, she is being fixed! We also have to get the other one fixed so we won't have another litter of kitties.

Cats stay in heat for 5-7 days on average, and go into heat every 21 days year around, unless you are very northern. As they remain unbred, their heat lasts longer and longer, increasing the risk that they will develop pyometra, a uterine infection that can be fatal. Cats in heat aren't very good house guests, as they yowl, posture, and urinate on bedding and furniture to let other cats know they are available.

My one cat was in heat for two weeks and boy did she meow
alot. Wanted attention all the time no matter what you were
doing. But took care of that little problem, had her fixed.
