Well there is an actual syndrome called the 'Broken Heart Syndrome'. People that are afflicted show many signs of a heart attack, except that people recover totally from the broken heart syndrome within days and weeks. This syndrome occurs when an overload of stress hormones affects the heart, making it hard to pump and supply oxygen. These stress hormones generally, in the case of the Broken Heart Syndrome, occur from a sudden shock such as a surprise or an accident. Of course, this usually happens only when a true loved one dies, such as a devoted husband or wife. But, this term has been 'handed down' to our generation, so now we call getting rejected getting our hearts broken.

That's just a theory. It's very scientific though =). Hope I helped!

Think of the person you love, now tell me where you can feel that special feeling, coming from your heart of course. We love with our hearts
