Mine is very picky. She tends to eat mostly hard food, but then demands soft food. Each cat is different. I have known some cats that only like soft and not hard.

He eats hard food morning and night, and about twice a week, he will get a treat of soft food. I always thought that the "soft food only diet" was not too great for their teeth.

I once tried to feed my cat soft food when she had to take a hearworm medication so that I could put the pill in with the food. She loved it, but threw it up all over the place. After that I always fed her hard food

Both, I keep a bowl of hard foot out all the time for them to munch when they want and 1-2 times a week I'll give them soft food.

My cats mainly eat the Iams cat food for multipal cats....then they each get a half of a can of cat food at night before I go to bed. This has helped to settle them down each night...I find if I forget or miss giving them the can they run around all night on me. This has really helped out and the vet has said the half a can will not hurt them at all.

I give my kitty 1/2 cup of kibble every morning and 1/2 can fancy feast every night. The vet that I see recommends a combination of both wet and dry foods. Wet food is higher in protein, but dry food is good for the teeth and has more nutrients for kitty's fur. Also, the dry food tends to prevent too much weight gain.

Your vet is ideal - dry nutrition isn't reliable for any cat everywhere. And, no, dry nutrition gained't sparkling their tooth! If that replaced into the case, why is that you may eat effective, crunchy chips or cereal, and your tooth are not sparkling later on? Canned, domicile made cooked, premade raw or domicile made raw is way better appropriate on your cat. technology eating routine is undesirable. correct price canned manufacturers contain issues which includes health, Innova, Nature's type, Merrick etc anymore. they are not straight forward to locate in maximum large puppy shops. PetCo incorporates organic stability, it really is particularly reliable. puppy resources Plus incorporates many of the right price manufacturers. you've interior reach organic puppy nutrition shops, and frequently you'll locate large manufacturers at a feed save. PetsMart, i imagine, finally has one variety it really isn't any longer too undesirable. i do no longer purchase it so i visit't undergo in thoughts the call. you may order distinctive those, at a competent value, on line. you prefer to seem for an identifiable, respectable meat source because the first element a minimum of. No by ability of-products! you may change your cats. The change from dry to canned is often somewhat straight forward because the cats love canned. I switched mine early this 12 months to raw, and that took significantly better paintings. although, cats will be kibble junkies! if so, then gradually decrease the kibble and up the quantity of canned until eventually you may in the destiny pull all the kibble and get it out of the domicile. never, ever go away it out all day. Feed your cats 2 or 3 cases an afternoon. go away it out for 15-20 minutes. in the adventure that they are nevertheless attempting to eat, do not pull the undesirable cat's plate from lower than him/her! yet, once a cat walks away, pull that plate and refrigerate the nutrition for yet over again. Have staying power, a humorousness and the idea that you're doing a competent element on your cats' health. reliable success!
