Ernie Bennet beat Mike Tyson when Tyson was an amateur in 3 rounds in 1981. Buster Douglas was the first as a professional to beat Tyson. Evander Holyfield also beat Tyson when both were amateur fighters years before their 2 professional fights!

The first and only one to beat Mike Tyson before his prison term was James "Buster" Douglas who knocked him out. Unfortunately he was never given a rematch due to the troubles with the law and when he was released years later Evander Hollifield was the champion and beat Tyson twice. The second match Tyson was so frustrated he ended up biting off part of Evander's ear. Tyson would later lose to Lennox Lewis thus agccounting to his first 4 losses. By this time it was clear he was not in his prime and another loss confirmed this later.
