Cost - Acompany with no firewall should be prepared to spend a lot of money on tech support. There will also be lost revenue through a decrease in production, network availability and worker downtime.

Reputation - If your company is hacked into what do your customers think? Typically people will only do business with a company that has a good track record for security. Public defacement of the website is very visible and has quite a ripple effect.

Legal - Companies can be held liable for damages if they do not adhere to "best practice". This means that if your site is compromised and then used as a springboard for an attack on someone else, your company's pockets may be hit with the bill for recovery.

-You can tell what software and systems the organization has and then cripple it.

well 1 ur hacked 2. ur files gone poof 3. BAM all of a sudden ur companies system are down and well good bue business
