imagine if you will, the only distinction between magic crafting and prayer was the form of ritualiszation. That's the difference and the only difference.

Prayer attains miracles by way of some other force blessing the prayer with a reply. Spells are cast by way of the speller either requesting a different god/dess the same as a prayer...or venerating force they are requesting assistance from to manipulate the very being about them.

Honestly, it is the only difference. Should you know for a fact that answered prayers create a physical manifestation, then also you should know that magical spells do the exact same thing.

However, the conveniences of modern media, like movies, help facilitate the idea that the "witch" makes "deals" to become vile "warlocks" and waving their hands at will, to do a sundry assortment of physical (nonscientific)manifestations.

Witchcraft is nothing like in the movies. They're a false representation. It's all about nature, the cycles of the moon, the days of the week.
You can't change objects into something they're not. They do have spells to help you fall in love, but that's only to help you find someone suitable. You can't put out for a specific person.
If you try to do something against The Rules, you'll have consequences.
The biggest rule to remember is that anything you put out comes back three fold. So don't do anything you'll regret.
