Only if they feel the exact same way... you have your best friend and lover all in one. But if the feeling isn't reciprocated then it's a bad idea cause you will lose your friendship. Good luck.

Well this can be a bit of a sticky situation. First of all, it's quite easy to fall for a best friend. You know them inside and out, have fun with them, spend a lot of time with them that how can you not fall for him/her? But, if you're thinking of taking that relationship to the next level, make sure he/she feels the same way. It's very difficult and emotionally draining to fall for your best friend and not have them like you back in that way. Becoming a 'couple' after being friends first can sometimes be an advantage but if it does not work out, the relationship might not be the same as it was before. If you have feelings for him or her and can't help but fall for them, I suggest going for it. You can't help who you fall for...

Age plays a little bit on this answer. If you are young then it is not a good idea. The older you get the more reasonable it is. There is a big risk you will loss the friend. Be sure the feeling are mutual.

No! After you step to the next level to dating you usually don't go back. I dated a good friend and things didn't work out...now we aren't friends at all.

Only good to do it, if you are ready to loose them. I lost a very dear friend of mine after we went out and stuff, and I never talk or see them ever. It really has hurt, so be ready to loose them, if you are then, I would say yes. Brando
