You could rob a bank and go to prison. You could get your butt poked every day in there. Everyone knows that's what happens so your parents couldn't blame you for being queer. Bet you'd have a good ole time huh?

You can't always be born into the family thats best for you. If they disown you, its their loss. You can have your second family be better and true to yourself. Find love in who you really are or you will never be happy. If God exists, he created you this way and loves you. Be strong! The best life to lead is one full of integrity, not to cowtow to hate and fear. We've come a long way, but we're not quite there yet. If you are weaker, move somewhere where you can find acceptance, like San Francisco. They will give you the strength that is already in you.

If your parents would disown you even though you are their child and the love of their lives, then it would be best to know how they would feel about you no matter what, then to have them love the untruthful you! I know the Bible says something about gays, but if your parents would be hurt by this, then it's something they were too uptight to consider. I believe that you should be honest with people no matter what the consequences. Good luck!

I had a friend with the same problem as you. When he finally decided to come out to his parents it sort of went like this-"Mom,Dad, I love you very much, but I think you need to know that I'm hooked on heroin!!" His mom very nearly had a heart attack and his dad became very angry. Before his dad started to beat the hell out of him my friend said " I'm not hooked on heroin ,but I am gay." My friend told me this brought his mother much relief, but his dad still remained angry. My friend said that though his dad was mad it opened the door to talk calmy with his mom,who in turn helped my friend explain to his dad. Mom has accepted and loves my friend for who he is-dad still has a hard time accepting, but seems to accept it more with each passing day!! Will this work for you? I don't know-only you know your parents. I do know one thing-you have to be true to yourself and your loved ones. You can't live your life trying to hide who you are. Best of luck to you my friend!!
