some people think being modest, veiled, quiet, submissive in any way even if it is out of choice, respect, honor and beliefs - means you are "bullied" or not strong or smart - I have the same problems and comments - and also have them as a married Catholic woman who by choice is submissive to her husband - so i fully understand. just now you are doing it for your Lord and your beliefs - not human approval.

Because people never understand that which is different. Just know that what you do is right for you. You're not out there trying to make every girl do as you do, so they really shouldn't have a problem with you. Live and let live, you know?

Because in the United States people do not understand why you are not showing the world what you have, what is to be only for your husband.
And they think that you are Muslim and to some we are the enemy
Be strong and do what you feel is right.

Some people have a hard time coping with people showing other types of belief or displaying it in some other way.
If some specifically bother you, I suggest talking to them.
If public in general,I think you should politely stand up for your belief.

Because people have some how got the idea in their heads that to be veiled is to not be free. It's your choice and that makes you free, ignore the naysayers, they'll never get freedom if they question yours.

People will always be insecure with things that are unfamiliar to them. The best thing you can do is be an ambassador. Be a living example through your kindness that there is nothing to fear about someone who is different.

If you like it, so what?!
If others have a problem with it, raise your veil when you speak with them directly...be friendly, then when you part, lower your veil again...they will only think you're eccentric...
Same thing with people who wear sunglasses all the time.

Ignore them. Be proud of your choice, and don't question what you feel in your heart is right.
I shave my head for a number of reasons, and people tend to judge me improperly for me (thinking me a nazi skinhead or something stupid like that...). But Buddhist monks also shave their heads. It's all a matter of interpretation.
Wear what you are comfortable in. You are not required to explain your actions to anyone but yourself. <3
