If it,s true love,,NO. You will always have a special part in you for that person. You will learn to move on, and live your life, and date and in time fall in love again. But deep down , you will have a part of you that you both shared alive and breathing in you. It wont be as painful as time goes on. But YES it will always be a part of you. Peace stay happy.

No, I never stopped loving mine and it has been 8 years since we were divorced. We were married 24 years with 4 kids and his wife allows us zero contact so the love isn't kept alive by contact.
I had a real hard time with the love at first but then I prayed alot and finally it hit me..."how much do you love him?" My mind challenged me. My answer is, "I love him enough to want him to be happy, I can live with that." Over the years the love has changed but just the sight of him can stop my heart. Hugs and good luck.

I broke up with a boyfriend 3 years ago. In the mean time I dated a guy for 2 years and to be honest with you I still thought about my ex. I think I will always love him only because we had special moments (if you know what I mean)

actually, yes you can.
usually they do something so drastic, that all feelings inside you for that person go dead.......you have no love, no hate, no compassion, no anything towards them.........
they have hurt you so much that the place you had inside of your heart for them just shuts down....
and if thats not the case, and you are just getting over a break up...yea.....you still can stop loving someone....you eventually stop thinking about them, and when you do....the memories are faint.....but not really bad....but not that good either that the feeling of love even comes into the picture........you feel....nothing towards them.....except maybe that you hope they are doing okay too in their chosen life

No, not even if something horrid is done to you. If you cared enough to love them once, and i mean truly love them, you'll always have a soul tie with them.

What you can do is stop acknowledgeing the love you have for that person.

I dont believe so. I believe Love is forever. Love never fails. It's beautiful. It gets through anything. It endures anything. It's not just feelings or words; it's what the people do for eachother; the actions. If it doesnt last; its not Love.

Its either, Lust/Infatuation/attraction.

I think that if you truely love them, then, no, you never stop. There is a man I really loved and we've been apart for 10 years. I still think of him and still love him. I don't think it will ever go away.

No, if ou stop "loving" them, then that means you neveer really loved them in the first place. You just liked them a lot. Love is forever.
