In NYC, a pack of ciggies are like $8. You would think kids cant afford it so they couldnt get it. You would think people would just quit because they would save money. You would think the high number of cases of cancer would be a good motivation. People who smoked before, I'm sure its hard...but is it still on the rise? I read the news about it and it doesnt seem to have reduced as much as some want it to. You think it will always be like this or do you have hope?

Generally, smoking is going down. There are a few subgroups where this is not true but overall, things are better. Bear in mind that nicotine, the addictive substance in tobacco, is thought to be as addictive as cocaine and heroin. That's tough to quit. Health knowledge is growing rapidly in our world. Smoking is going to decrease.
