I am putting this under pets because this is where I answer the biggest majority of my questions.
I sometimes go back and edit a comment I have made on an answer.
I was wondering if the edited portion is sent as a email to the person that asked the question, letting them know?
I just wanted to make sure if I have to make a correction on an answer, the person will get the updated version.

Well that sucks.
I am far from perfect, but some of the answers given are so far out in left field I will re-answer and post an internet site to back my new comment.

Not unless the asker checks back for new answers. Sorry.

The edited answer appears in the space as your original answer. If you find that you are editing your answer a couple hours after you originally submitted your answer, you might as well forget about it. You answer has already been read.
