I have gone without my blood pressure medicine for 4 days. I finally got my prescription refilled this morning. I can tell my blood pressure is still high. It's too late to go to the DR tonight, so does anyone know of something i could eat to maybe help lower it some. Thanks

Clint has low blood pressure. 116/64 for a 230 pound man. Doctor says he is healthy as an ox, but he does experience dizziness and wobbly legs when it falls lower. He often comes in from outside and puts his head between his legs for a few mins, eats a little snack, followed by something caffeinated to increase his heart rate a little. Almost like a diabetic, gets a little food and drink and he is ok. Sometimes I worry though that it will get too low when he is sleeping. The doctor does not seem to worry about it too much, I guess high bp would be the worse of two evils. Glad to hear your hubby caught the blockage in time and that he is doing well, well until this morning. I am sure all will be fine.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

My Grandmother who is 83 years old and strong as an ox but also suffers from hypertension (high blood pressure) swears by eating garlic and for some reason drinking a glass of water with a tablespoon of uncooked oatmeal.

Yup. Try eating a lot of garlic. It may not be good for your breath but your blood pressure will surely drop.

There is nothing better than pressure pills. Go to your doctor. Passion fruit is also good, but remember your pills.

Children's aspirin thins your blood.

I think garlic helps, but i'm not sure about such short term.
