10 yrs ago I dated someone for a couple of months. We parted because I wasn't ready for a commitment (marriage!). We never spoke again, and I assumed that he never wanted to see me again. However, I recently found out that a few years ago he was looking for someone from his past. I believe that it may have been me. I still have feelings for this person and would like to call him to find out. Is this good idea? Does anyone have advice or similar stories?

come up with some reason of why he might have popped into your head "randomly" (ie you visited the old pizza joint you guys frequented for the first time since you've been apart), and tell him that you couldn't think of a better time to call him and just see how he was.
I think that shows an interest, without looking extremely creepy. Don't bring up the part about him looking for you three years ago (unless he knows that YOU know).

As long as this "destiny search" is for the right reasons, that you realize that you both may have drastically changed since the last time you were in love, and that you don't jeopardize his and your current families.
Otherwise, destiny prevails, go for it gurl!

I say "yes". If you have his number, give him a call. You won't know if you two are still compatible, if you don't take a chance. ;) I'm in the same boat just I don't have his recent number. Leap out on Faith and get your man, girl. hehehehe!!!!
