... You do realize they have always had a huge population right? 2000 years ago they had a population of 60 million. In 1910 they had 410 million in 1950 they had over 500 million. You think China doubling its population in the past 50 years in unique? In the 1950's we had about 150 million and are now at almost 300 million. Consider that after the revolutionary war the United States had almost 4 million. In 1900 the USA had 76 million. The population of China is a result from a historically huge population base and has nothing to do with religion. In the past 15 years the US has added over 50 million people to its population.

To sum it all up, the United States has had a population grown greater that or nearly equal to China's but China has always had a far greater population base.

I have looked at China. They are THE most polluted (literally not religiously speaking) nation on the face of the earth. Like Russia they have no clean water.

Chemical dumping is done leisurely and their government sees to it that the cities keep developing with no regard to destroying and poisoning their resources.

America is bad enough but not near the level of China. Its poor people are much worse off than ours as there is NO voice to champion their cause.

If the Chinese government decides it needs more land, people are sometimes issued a small (minuscule amount) and many times nothing but vacating orders. Their small hubbles are torn down with no hearings or nothing.

If you consider that paradise - then China is for you. Their extravagant living (of the rich) comes at a great price for the poor, not even considering the food they eat is posioned from their own polited water and soil. Even the fish are deseased.

I have to laugh at the ignorance displayed by some of your respondents. I've lived in China. One bozo said they're starving to death in China. Wrong. In 1960 yes, not now. Another said the government kills kids. Wrong. They put you in a higher tax bracket if you have more than one, and that only for city dweller, not people on farms who can have two.

I hope China bans the born again christians and their cults. They've done enormous damage in the ex USSR. Send them all back to the deep south where they belong.

So??? Where do you find in the Boble that Christian countries will be blessed only? It has nothing to do with country, race, gender, but with a personal relationship with God...and also in that case, Jesus never said that Believers are problem free, on the contrary, we have to go through many trials..only Then we will develop faith and a more Godly life...

And one more thing...you may try to confirm, that the Christian faith is spreading like wildfire in China, even though it is still not officially allowed...

Any country that does not allow the freedom of speech is not doing something right... its doing right, because the TV you have been watching only shows the 'right' things the gov (yours and the chinese) wants to show you.

Turn your head and you will see millions of them suffering from stravation, homeless.

Its now part of the WTO, but things hasnt changed much deep down, I watched a documentary 'Tank Man', may be something like that will open the eyes of people who think China is doing great.

HELLO, WAKE UP!

Have you not seen the news reports, the people are living in poverty, they are overworked and underpaid. They live in poluted ghettos and are being exploited by american companies that move their factories over their for the very cheap labor and where the people work in sweat shops, and where children are forced into prostitution. I guess this would make you as an aetheist very proud. After all with God out of the equation this is your plans for society.

I will have a special prayer for you tonight.

I think, it's weird for you, to talk about religion and its role about a growing country. Working hard is not forbidden in any religion, or any belief... Here, maybe you should talk about politics...

And this "population" part is even more absurd... When China had an imperor, they had one of the most crowded population then, too!

Or, let's mention India, most of them are strong believers(Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist etc....). And they have almost the same population, too! So, what?..

China murdered hundreds of millions of its people in genocides and enslaved the rest. Most people there live under conditions of incredible hardship and oppression. And, what you don't hear about in the news, is the government there is very close to being overthrown by people who want democracy. Despite the beatings and the people being sent to prison so that their organs can be harvested for the black market. Despite the violence and threats and torture, hundreds of thousands of people demonstrate in China DEMANDING democracy.

What do you have to say to THAT?

I don't think your facts are right, these people are suffering the same things that all the world is sickness, disease, starvation and over population. You really need to see that everyone is responsible of the ugly we are doing regarding whether is religiously or not we all have don't harm to this world.
