Thinning scissors are multi toothed scissors that only cut certain hairs not a whole row. They are used for people who have extremely thick hair. The drawback is that when the short hairs grow it makes your hair look even thicker and can be a real pain after awhile.
It really makes your hair look great and not feel so heavy for the first couple of weeks but in the long run, to me at least, It wasn't worth it.

They are scissors with little slices made in them all lined across the edges of the blades. They are supposed to thin really thick hair, but my sister used them and you couldn't relly tell a difference. Maybe we didn't use them correctly. But to me if you cut hair doesn't it grow back faster? That would make your hair thicker in the long run, right?

are you talking about hair? cause if so, they are scissors that thin the hair, and yes... they do work.

thinning shears are serate shears, that remove some of the hair...but not all. yes, they definately work... but be careful!!! if you cut to close to your scalp, or in the part of your hair, you will regret it!!! try doing it spurratically on the very ends of your hair
(like the last inch or two) to help add some texture, and see if you like the effect. good luck!

Yes they cut very well, you must know how to use them or your hair will not be balanced. You only use them with knowledge. Big hunks of hair cut out by mistake will take a long time to grow out again. Let a Prof. cut it if too thick.....
