Why do some believe that any form of spirituality is for the simple-minded? I think that it's b/c they are afraid of what they might find out. That there is a Higher Power. I know that this has probably been asked again and again. But I would truly like to hear from someone who considers my beliefs childish. Thanks.

The occult is referred to as the "old" religion..
Because the occult, or pagan rituals were around long before the formation of the more modern, in a sense, teaching of Christianity or Mohammedanism. Notice how much of the "old" religions have been adapted by Christianity to gain more converts.

The occult is primitive and is for the simple minded. It is nothing but idiotic superstition. Any white person that subscribes to such nonsense need to be confined to a mental institution. Maybe one day the Negroes and Asians will evolve out of believing in it.

I don't think your beliefs are childish, but I do believe they are evil. The occult dwells in depth with a lot of magic and that is wickedness. Sorry to step on your toes a little. I even have heard of Christian denominations who are a sect of the occult which completely contradicts God's word because he tells us to stay away from those things. I will pray for you.

i don't believe your beliefs are childish nor that any form of spirituality is possible only in the simple-minded. however, my take on that situation is that this is a world that is all about what can be measured, gaged, recorded on some kind of a scale. we're getting to the point where people don't even believe in feelings, instincts, thinks they have tangible evidence of, let alone things that are mostly a matter of faith.

Well it may be because religion was orginally created to explain the unexplainable, comfort the fears of society. Now we have science that explains such phenomena which disproves previous beliefs.
