I need to reformat my computer but I lost the sticker on the side. Is there a way that I can retrieve my serial key from my computer...a program or regisry that will tell me...thanks in advance.

It's a legit version of windows.....but my kids peeled the sticker off, thanks!

You can contact Microsoft and they can give you a key as long as you do have a legit copy of Windows XP Pro. Sometimes those websites that lets you find your key is not helpful. If you cant get it through the key finder, then just contact Microsoft and ask them to send you a new key cuz your sticker is gone.
I can help you get the Microsoft Genuine Check off your computer, but when it comes to reinstalling Windows, you have to get the key from Microsoft.

Actually, I'd go with the program. I've never not been able to extract the serial key from the registry using one of those programs, even with SP2.
