I don't "support the war." I don't think we should have gone, but after what those insane Islamic nut bags did to those two poor soldiers today; I feel like we should just hammer the whole friggin country. Maybe make a big parking lot out of it. Blood thirsty barbaric stone age *&^&^%% suckers!
PS: I don't expect anyone to agree with me and I honestly don't care. God bless America and to hell with everyone else!

God bless you too. I agree with you 100%. The problem is, it isnt going to happen. Then we would be as bad as them. Wholesale killing cant be the answer. We have to do it right, but I'll tell you what, the thought of a few B-52's tossing some tactical nukes does make me smile.

I guess I get to confuse everyone here. I agree, for the most part with your P.S. Even thought I loath Mr. Bush, and I think the invasion in Iraq was the wrong target for the wrong reasons. I, too, am tired of being told what to do by nations which don't exactly have their act together.

Having said that, I see two problems with using Nukes on the Insurgents. One is collateral damage. It is not like these creeps are all in one location. It is not like the old days of the USSR where we had targets of opportunity by the droves. Two, the collateral damage would be staggering. Three, it would lead to an escalation of the war on a global scale. We don't need that. We need to turn the situation over to the Iraqi people, and let them deal with the mess. It is half theirs at this point. I remember Powell's warning to Bush, "If you break it you own it." Well, we did not exactly break it, we don't exactly own it, and I don't think we really want it. The best we can do now is wind this damn thing down, and get out.

The Brits are already set to pull out, and too the Japanese.

If you do what "Slim Pickens" did in the movie "Dr. Strangelove I'll agree to it! There is enough talk about nukes in other countries. Nukes are not funny at all. Cooler heads will always prevail and that is the idea we need to send to the Iraqi people, systematically removing the testicles of those insurgents that don't know when they have been beaten. Don't punish all for the actions of a few. I don't like this war or any other for that matter, Support our troops and if you're old enough, enlist and go give them a hand, stopping these fanatics. Take your anger out on them not your keyboard! God Bless you and America and those seeking to be free in Iraq.

No. But we should be much harsher than we are being. We shouldn't worry about the press, political enemies, or what the world thinks. Get er done and worry about what the do nothings think later.

Look, we know the insurgents are using human shields, so we must expect civilian casualties. We know many civilians are helping them, tho sometimes out of fear I suspect, but again civilian casualties. They cut off heads with no condemnation, while we get run thru the muck about korans in the toilet? It makes no sense to even give them Korans to begin with, and prayer rugs. This is war, not charity. Dont give them special food either. If pork is on the menu for the day, they can take it or leave it. And only water, no soft drinks, milk, tea, or camel piss.

We need to fight this war as a war, not as a publicity campaign.

I'm taking this question/comment as therapy, expressing your frustration over what happened. If we could single out these insurgents and kill them all, I would say "do it" in a heartbeat. Nuking the whole country would obviously be crazy for all kinds of reasons, not the least of which is that we would be stooping to their level, maybe even lower. Think of how many innocent people would be killed, many of whom are our friends.

Are you stoned? LOL Wiping out half a country or so because people are fighting in it is kind of stupid. It's frustrating to read about stuff like that, do your part to support the troops and save every drop of fuel you can...the sooner america's energy-independent, the sooner the rest of the world can go back to solving their own problems etc., and so can we...

Uh, I'm sorry to tell you, but "the insurgency" is kind of hard to find, as it's not really an organized group, nor do they have a specific HQ.

I don't support the war that much either, but nukeing them would start a nucular war and kill us all.
