Well, I had an interesting discussion with a preacher on this once before church. He said that he personally was a type of communist because he believed in the Christian values of sharing your wealth and not having more than you need because God will take care of you as it says in the book of Matthew. He said he believed it was men who corrupted the ideas to work for them and took something good and made it bad. So I suppose you could say God is a communist.

I personally don't like when people attribute human boundaries and ideologies to God. He is beyond all that. It's like saying "God Bless America" and thereby believing that we are the chosen nation (we're not) and that everything we do is blessed by God.

Communism has a lot of flaws, and anything that would - and/or is - backed entirely by God would not have a single flaw. Not to mention that it's silly to try and label God with a single movement from human history that, ironically enough, is very conducive to *no* religion. God probably wouldn't support something that would push him out of people's lives, right?

P.S. Some of the tenets of communism mirror those of the Christian faith, and those are naturally supported by God. But Communism is a human invention, and consequently flawed. It's just one of the many ways humanity has attempted to come to terms with life, and it is not in any way an attribute or affiliation of God.

By my understanding of the Communist manifesto in the portions I've read, Communists are simply those that believe in the lower class taking over. If G-d cares at all about this then he has not said so anywhere I've seen.

It sounds possible. God is about equality, and so is communism. Communism gets a bad rap, since it has yet to be implemented properly. Since someone usually has to be in charge, and power corrupts, it probably never will.

But, ultimately, it's not true, because, if you read (and believe in) any of the texts on God, they agree that he has a kingdom and servants and makes all the rules himself. So, it's quite clear that God is a Monarch.

It depends entirely on which book of the bible you reference.

In some books, he is a communist who advocates sharing property and collectivism (communism).

In other books, he gives people enormous wealth & power (oligarchy).

In other books, he advocates monarchies (kings).

So, it really depends on which book.

However, Jesus was a communist. He threw the money changers (capitalists) out of the temple and strongly advocated against accruing individual wealth.

BTW, modern day Israel is a communist nation.

equal love for everybody is a communistic view on life. also a christian view on life.

the biggest problem about communism is that usually it falls for the error of having a dictator-like ruler. which also can be applied to christianity. God is, in some ways, a pure dictator.

Before Jesus return people will realize all forms of human government are badly flawed. Severely broken. The only good government is God's system based on love.
