then why aren't Jenna and Barbara holding M-16s in Bahgdad?
Of course, Dick Cheney's daughter can't be in the military - she's an admitted lesbian (don't ask, don't tell.) But the Bush Twins are eligible for military service.

How about Lieutenant Colonel Elliott Roosevelt, son of Franklin Roosevelt.
I'm certain a few more seconds searching Yahoo, will reveal many son's and daughters of Presidents that served.

Is this a joke? So do you also think that Clinton should have sent Chelsea guns blazing into Somalia and then into Kosovo? Last time I checked, and I checked pretty recently like when I was at MEPS a few weeks ago, we have an all volunteer military. So Bush's daughters have every right to choose to serve or not to serve. England has contributed troops and Prince Harry has joined their military as well as has publicly demanded to be sent to Iraq with his unit. So does this now justify the Iraq war? No, because which leaders children take up arms in a conflict has very little to do with whether or not the conflict is justifiable. Wise up and make intelligent criticism because they can and should be made about this war.

He said it was justified because he could not and or would not bring BinLoser to justice for some odd reason and he needed an escape coat like Sadamm to catch in order to make him look good still in the public eyes. If you think about it, Bush illegally attacked Iraq with no just caused and used the WMD excuse in order to attack Iraq, we had Sadamm at any time so why is this all back words after 9-11 took place and we should have had captured and killed Binladin and the boys for doing that hidious crime. Like why would the Vice president shoot his buddy in the face and then decide to report it 24 hours later, aint that what people do when they intoxicated and they run and wait till the booze wear off then report and turn thems selves in because it would have been more severe of a punishment if he was caught drunk...

Because they are both over 18 and are eligble to make their own choices. You look older than 18, why don't you join? I'm 20, and if I could, I'd join in a second. Its not about politics, its about finishing it, getting the Iraqi's set up on their own, and getting our boys and girls out of there WHEN THE TIME COMES. And in the meantime, show your support, not your ignorance. There are hundreds of thousands of soldiers on active duty deployment around the world. what you and your anti war anti freedom anti soldiers friends need to do is think before you speak, and realize that while you sit here complaining about how bad it is, they're out their dying to give you that right.
Peace. Out.
EDIT> you go Jack!
SECOND EDIT> you've done your time in the military? AS WHAT? no offense, but with such an idiotic question, and with the other questions you've posted in your profile, I cannot believe 1) that the military would have even accepted you, and 2) that you could have done anything productive!

The last time I heard, the USA has an all volunteer force. Perhaps that is why you are not in it. So if you are not forced to serve, why should Jenna and Barbara be forced to? Americans ARE free to choose, and I would have thought you'd know that, Einstein.
As for you crack on Cheneys daughter, again you are wrong. The militarys policy is "dont ask dont tell". In other words, they cannot ask her sexual preference, and She isnt supposed to answer if they do. Now that doesnt mean she can't answer, it only means she dont have to. If she wanted to serve she surely could, all she has to do is not tell them she is a Lesbo. They cannot ask.
Any more stupid liberal leftist anti-war pinko commie questions?

The same question could be pointed at you or anyone else for that matter who isn't in the military. The reason is that we are an all volunteer military, this means that if the President Bushs daughters want to join the military or not is entirely their choice. Nothing more nothing less.

When you people wake up and realize that Bush isn't the one who sent us to war? He is the one talking about it the most because thats his job, to rally support. The majority of the United States Congress VOTED FOR the war, and whatever intel they voted for DID NOT come from the Office Of The President.
The Military is Purely Volunteer.
From what you say and the pic you have posted, I cannot fathom what position you may have played in the military.
Regarding sexual harrassment, no its not okay, but it is to be expected. We are women, and we deal with it everyday, either from our 'friends' our neighbors, our grocery clerks, our bosses, and in many unfortunate cases, from our own families. Its not okay, but its nothing new.
I am in this war not for politics, but for freedom. Ours, and there's. I support our troops, I thank our troops, and I appreciate everything our troops have done in the past, do now, and will do in the future.
Best of luck to all of our soldiers. Everywhere.
btw... I noticed a Max up there earlier.... someone else... I'm not double posting.

Uh, maybe because it's a VOLUNTEER ARMY?
YOU SIGN UP.
The fact that their daughters aren't in the army has nothing to do with the justification of a war.
"OOp. War time, army boys! Oh wait, let me go get my non-enlisting daughters so that I can call this a justified war!"
Preposterous.
Those fighting in Iraq:
DECIDED TO SIGN UP,
DECIDED TO TRAIN FOR WAR,
and oh, their getting PAID. It's their JOB.
If Bush's daughters need some cash and want to join the military, they're allowed to.
But they honestly don't need the money. They are the Pres' daughters, after all.

I thought, according to national law, that women serving their country in the United States Armed Forces could not (should not) be placed directly into a combat situation. I'm also thinking that the daughters are both in college somewhere or other.
By the way, take out the snide tone if you want to effectively communicate some political satire or other topical humor. Your audience might appreciate it.

you people get more lame all the time...you might be surprised to learn just what jenna and barbara are up to these days...i'm not going to tell you...find out for yourself, but most people here would be proud of them if they were their own daughters. Hey when you served did you carry around an M16? no war stories now..just the truth....hmmm..just a thought..wonder how much time chelsea spent in kosovo. by the way my daughter serves in the air force...she has a great deal of respect for her commander in chief and a great love for her country.

Because they haven't signed up. As I'm sure you know all members of the United States Military are volunteeres. They have willingly volunteered for service. Thus it is not manditory for a person to join, this includes the Presidents daughters.
