My fiancee and I are both in recovery, though for drugs, we DO NOT drink. When people want to toast us at the reception, any ideas on this? Should we have ideas, should we toast with whatever someone has in their hands to drink already, other ____?

Actully you have several options:
1- "Champagne" (non- alcoholic)
Ingredients:
32 ounces club soda
12 ounces frozen white grape juice concentrate, thawed

Directions:
Stir together club soda and white grape juice concentrate. Pour into two soda bottles. Cap tightly and chill.
Serve:
Wrap ornate tea towel or dinner napkin around bottle and pour half a glass per guest for toast.
NOTE:
This recipe will serve eight to ten people ( you may formulate to meet your needs- just double, triple etc)
2- Sparkling Apple or Grape Juice
3- Club soda with a splash of cranberry and lime
4-Sparkling Brut Cuvee / ARIEL

It is physically impossible to remove 100% of the alcohol from a fermented beverage. The legal definition of a non-alcoholic beverage requires a product to contain less than 1/2 of 1% of alcohol. ARIEL non-alcoholic wines contain less alcohol than most fresh squeezed orange juice!

OR

Blow bubbles- can double as favor
Light candles- you and your groom can light a "Unity" candle

Hey think about it everyone will actually remember the event! Many people don't consume alcohol during a toast due to medication they have to take or they are watching their carbs., money, have a long drive home after wedding...etc...The "Toast" (the wishes and words) are what is the most important not the liquid that is consumed. You might want to spend the money you would have shelled out for a bottle of good Champaign on two keepsake glasses to do your toast in to keep forever. Have someone to pre pour your preferred drink into a very beautiful container that

Yes, of course, a wedding must include some toasts so be sure to let anyone give you a toast using whatever alcohol-free beverage is available. You will want to hear all of those good wishes, some funny stories and maybe even some good advice. Sugarshirl raising her glass of apple juice high and saying, "Congratulations, and may your marriage be one filled with Peace, Love & Happiness."

Check with your caterer (or reception venue) on this but most places can get in a non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice or peach juice or something. One of the weddings I planned, the brides family were very religious so there was no alcohol, plus the bride is allergic to alcohol, so we had to come up with an alternative. The non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice was so popular that we actually ran out.

At our wedding we used apple cider to toast with. I am not sure if that broke any rules or not but we don't drink either so that is what we used. They also have sparkling white grape juice as well but I didn't care for the taste which is why we had apple cider instead.

Alot of weddings now have a signature beverage now instead of open bars. Since you want to have an alcohol free wedding, why not serve some fruity non-alcoholic drink to your guests, and have them all toast with that? YUM!

I go to weddings with no alcohol all the time. People just toast with their glass of juice or water.

My reception will be at church, and we will toast with punch. Just use the punch or soda or water even. Anything will be great. If you want it to look like champagne, you can always use cider or white grape juice even.

We wound up using the caterer's punch in our fancy glasses to toast. We bought a bottle of sparkling grape juice, but my husband forgot it in the fridge at the church!
