Yes. It is designed to replace elecrolytes (sodium, potassium) that are lost during strenuous exercise. It is also high in sugar.

You cadrink too much of it.

Water is the best for rehydration. Gatorade is ok in small quantities.

You're realyl only supposed to drink gatorade when youre excersising because it has electrolytes and salts that your body loses when it sweats. So, I guess it could because if youre not losing the stuff then youre putting in more than what needs to be there. I avoid gatorate unless I'm at a track meet or working out or something.

the dyes they use aren't particularly harmful, but in large amounts they could cause problems. red, apparently, is the worst.
