If the animal repellant won't work like one person suggested, take a bar of fragrant soap, Irish Spring is the strongest that I know of, & rub it on the cord(s). Just lightly though. I did this when I brought home my cat & she was chewing on every cord in sight. It was a bit of a pain to get to all the cords but I enlisted my son to crawl in spots I couldn't reach. The scent of the soap kept her away.

try and tack the cords to the baseboards just don't insert a tack directly into a wire. or wrap them in protective plastic . or spritz the cords with bitter apple or hair spray cayenne pepper or citrus scented agents, cats do not like these scents. If that doesn't work then i guess you might have to but him in a cage. My kitten tried chewing cords they look like a string to play with . But she gave up and the cords hopefully yours will too. Good luck!!!!!

Nope...cat's are nocturnal....he'd yowl all night!

Go to the pet store and buy an animal repellent....it comes in a spray can. It tastes gross and should stop the chewing. Also, pick up some toys for your kitten....he's chewing because he's bored :-)

Hey my cat is like 2 and chewed up my phone charger... But he doesnt bother anything else. your cat might just be playing but if you see him getting to rough then do what you have to do. BUT IF YOU DO cage him up at night get a BIG dog cage so he can move around and put a litter box in it.

NOPE !!! My ex was able to teach Gullo how to not chew on cords :) He'd say in a stern voice, "WIRES!!!!" & then Gullo would leave them alone :) She wouldn't leave them alone after the first time but after several times of saying this to Gullo, she got the hint & learned that she shouldn't be chewing on cords :) She was tryna chew on my comp cords :s (N) Bad kitty !!! If you have an interesting story to share bout your cat, why don't you check out my Q :) Hope to see your interesting story there :)

bitter apple spray can assist in making the wires style undesirable and discourage her chewing on them. absolutely end her from doing this proper this second or she receives very damage! you'll also prefer to grant her some thing that that's alright to chew on. (numerous somethings actually.) some lines of puppy toys even make particular kitten-certain toys that contain textured issues only for chewing on.

He will keep you up at night, definitely.

You can either use a water spray bottom to discourage that habit when you catch him or rub vinegar on the cord so its nasty to chew.

An animal store such as Petsmart might have something that it would prefer to chew on. Visit the store and make an inquiry.

i definatly wouldn't lock him in a cage maybe try to cover up the cords or go to a pet store and ask someone there or ask the cats vet.

Either that, or shut him in your room with you. That way he's contained, but he's also free to roam and he has your company. And make sure the electrical cords are out of his reach!
