The pediatrician I worked for pronounced it:
cor ( with a long o ) pul ( with a short u ) mo ( with a long o ) nal ( as in all ) cor pulmonale. easy!

Cor pulmonale is right sided heart failure. When the right side of the heart cannot pump blood forward because of failure, the blood backs up and causes fluid retention, high jugular pressures etc.
