I would die for Him. I have been thinking about this question fearfully but the Bible tells us several hundreds of times "Fear not". I am thankful for His sacrificial gift. I would not only die for Him, I also want to live for Him. I want to commit myself to His service where ever I am in this world and a market place. Make that commitment everyday so I would not forget what He did for me. I want to open my mouth about Him to everybody and in every situation I can think of. I want to everybody to have this joy I have in me when I think of Jesus. I want to read Bible and I want learn to serve Him better. I have a lot to learn.
I cannot honestly say that I would go to the cross for Him to be crucified. But He is not asking us to be crucified like Him. He asked us to tell everybody what He did for us. Spread the Gospel. That might get us killed one day, but I am sure He will fill me with wisdom. He has promised to be with us. And He promised that He will not give anybody more than they can get. Sometimes I find myself praying "Thank you God that you think that I am so strong I can handle it. Dear Lord guide me to understanding". He does not ask us to give Him thanks for our troubles, we need to thank Him IN troubles and in every circumstance.
And as we life in peaceful place. We need to pray for those who are surrounded by evil, to keep them safe from harms' way. Pray for them so they will walk with the Spirit of God.

That's a bit of a stupid question. You don't know what you would do in given circumstances. Consider how Peter denied Christ after claiming allegiance unto death. What you should say is "Do you wish you had the grace and courage to face a terrible death as Christ did?" After Christ's resurrection and the day of Pentecost, the apostles and many other Christians did face horrible deaths and remained true, as Stephen did at his stoning. But the fact is, no one has ever, or could ever, face what Christ faced, because none of us had to take the punishment for every sin ever commited as Christ did, or were forsaken by the Father as Christ was on the cross. So the anwser is: I couldn't possibly. The best one could do would be to face a violent death through the grace of God. A more important question is "Will you die to yourself every day, so that Christ lives in and through you, and serve him as faithfully as the apostle Paul did?" If you don't do that, which is the important thing, then you wouldn't even be able to face death as these faithful servants did. However, that doesn't mean your heart isn't such that you wish you could and I am sure your heart is that way. Peace
Footnote: Bravo PL, you have the best answer. God Bless you!.

Yes I would, there are people around the world the truly play out the crucifixion yearly, like in the Phillipnes, they actually get nailed to the cross both hands and feet and dropped into a hole, they only last a few mins from the pain. But yes I would give it my best..

That is a good question. I'm not sure I would know the answer unless actually faced with the possibility.
I often think of that wonderful, brave girl from Columbine High School and wonder if I would show her courage in facing death when asked if she were a Christian.....
I certainly hope I could.

Though I am from a different religion.. I chose to answer.
They dont Die. He rose from the dead on the third day.
and if you posses such a devotion and untie yourself from the worldly possessions, then this life would not matter.
You are i would happily give it after. , and your protector would return it back to you.
Have faith.
All religions say the same. Have faith. Pray. Do your work.

In my mind I answer yes. In reality I can only pray that when/if I ever get in that position that I would have enough faith that God will take care of me to complete the task He set before me.
Matthew 26:41
""Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." "

I, like most Christians, would feel compelled to say yes and wish that I could, but I cannot know for sure. For Christ died for us without any obligation to do so, simply by His grace, mercy, and love for us did he do it. He benefited in no way, we were undeserving. God does not need man, but man needs God.
Mark 8
34Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.
Also recorded in Matthew 16:24 and Luke 9:23
Humans do nothing without some form of self-satisfaction or self-indulgence attached, we are incapable of doing true good. God alone is good.
Isaiah 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
Mark 10:18
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone.
Luke 18:19
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone.
Let me ammend my earlier statement, I looked inside myself and found the answer. YES! I would die for the Lord, even if it meant to suffer as he did and even more so.

Yes I would, and through it he would comfort me. At least two of his disciples did die on the cross as well, for his name

...He was (is) sinless, thus doesn't need blood to cover his sins. Let alone that of a sinner's. So I don't think I would, and if this in the context of missionfield or die for spreading his word or living for him or something, that is quite a different question.

I believe soon enough many will find out as the violent branches of Islam expands.
YES! I would die for Jesus. I have done nothing worthy of his sacrifice for me.., and I owe him more than I could even repay even with my very life.
