My hair is medium length, very THIN, with layers and blonde highlights. I'm naturally brunette. My problem is my hair is always pissing me off by being all split-ended no matter what I seem to do. Any suggestions? I've been using Biolage color care conditioner, which I had high expectation of because of the hipe and price, but I don't really like it because it seems I have to use a whole handful to get it to spread through my whole head of hair, and afterwards my hair doesn't even feel soft!! I want soft SHINEY hair with body. Is this possible to obtain? My hair also seems so dull. Please only serious and mature answers from people who know how to SPELL!!! Thanks!

I just started using that Brilliant Brunette shampoo by John Frieda I think is his name. It's really great! There is also a shine serum that has a little bit of shimmer (not little kid shimmer) and a conditioner. My hair is always flat and is very thin and this stuff is awesome!

I know this sounds rather ridiculous, but the truth is that some people swear by horse shampoo. It makes your hair shinier and healthier looking. Also, I would recommend you make sure you're getting your hair trimmed regularly to get rid of those split ends.

You also should try a thickening shampoo to make your hair more texturized and less thin. Next time you are shopping for hair care products, don't pay so much attention to the price...a higher price is no guarantee that the shampoo is any better.

I personally think that Herbal Essences is a good brand, but I have dark bronze highlights and I use ABBA, and that works pretty well. I bought the shampoo which you use in the shower, of course, and then I bought the Leave-In conditioner, which I put in after I am done with my shower while my hair is still damp. You can use the product on dry hair, also, but I prefer when it is wet or damp.
Hope I helped!

Paul Mitchell "Super Stong Daily Conditioner" makes hair soft and smells really nice. Jheri Redding "ResQ" works REALLY WELL on dry/damaged hair, but you'll only find it online or (if you're lucky) at a local beauty supply. I can't say any particular shampoos really "wow" me, but I usually like to use the shampoo that goes with the conditioner.

Garnier Fructis. I love it!!! I used to use Pantene, but this is so much better. A little bit does wonders. The shampoo leaves my hair silky and shiny and the conditioner is an added bonus. I also use their Anti-Frizz Serum. I can't live without these products now. Try them. I guarantee you will love them!!!

Ok...I know alot of people may be skeptical because it is a bit unorthodox, But it works!
I trained horses for 10 yrs and used a product called mane n'tail on the horses...all it is is a highly concentrated version of the conditioner you buy in stores and if used as a leave in makes your hair very healthy and full. Just for the record..."hoof maker" for horses makes your nails very strong and they grow quick...I had to put it on their feet everyday and as a result I had to cut my own nails 2 times a week!---Better quality products, just not marketed to the same demographic as your pantene,suave...

The new L'Oreal shampoos for color treated hair. The conditioners too. They are available only at salons but are well worth the price.

I love John Frieda products. The shampoo and conditioner have color types to match your hair. I use the red (my hair is dyed), and it really adds nice highlights to my hair. There is also a glaze that really brightens the color.
