If you want a long term relationship with the new guy or still care in any way for the old guy I would NOT suggest going out with him, 'cause that is just gonna lead to all sorts of drama later on.
Now if your mean and spite-full and just wanna get back at the guy for breaking up with then yeah go ahead and go out with his best-friend.

If you think he really likes you and you really like him, then go out with him. You shouldn't care about their friendship. That sounds selfish, but you have to be to find happiness in this world.
