I'm a Christian to and I like beer and mixed drinks. That in itself is not a sin. The abuse of it, however, is.

Even Jesus drank wine. At the wedding where he performed his first miracle of making wine from water (if it were a sin he would not have contributed to it) and at the last supper he drank it and had his disciples drink it (he wouldn't have caused them to sin).

So yes, it is okay. Just be in control and moderate!

You know whats in your heart, are you drinking beers to get drunk or do you just drink one or two a day to help you relax? If you have an addictive personality, you shouldn't touch a beer. I know alot of christians who will drink a class or two but no more. My dad and I will discuss the bible over a beer and I don't see anything wrong with it. I helps us to bond and grow spiritualy.

God doesn't condemn His children but His loving hand will disipline and convict a believer if he is willfully disobeying Him.
I have never read in the bible that drinking was a sin, however it does mention drunkeness as a sin.

P.S. don't drink around others who have a problem with drinking or aren't allowed to, I don't think God would want you to cause a brother to stumble.

When your a born again christian, you'll slowly give up those bad habits. Anyways beer is bad for your body. Try to do sports, weights or even go running. This will get your mind off of that.

I must first ask you a question? Do you feel like God is convicting you of drinking? If you do i would try to quit as soon as possible. God accepts you for who you are and if you remember right Noah drank on the ark. The sin is when you become a drunkard. Christ drank as well. Only when he was ready to go to heaven did Christ give up " all fermented drink". I personally don't drink so i don't know if i have helped you at all.

As a born again Christan, you should know the answer. No one who answered this is God, therefore, we are not the right people to ask. My advice, look to your relationship with God and go from there. If you want my judgment, as long as it is in moderation, I think it is fine. But also realize that I don't believe in conformed religion at all. I know my relationship with God and I walk with him everyday and I know that if I were asking this question it would be simply to make my conscience feel better. You should know that if you are "born again."

See...that's what I don't get. I continuously read all these posts by christians asking "If I do (fill in blank) will God condemn me, punish me, will I go to hell?" Why do you fear your God so? It seems to me that you can't really enjoy a thing without worrying about whether God will be cheesed off at you for doing it. Seemingly, you can't be relaxed about anything you do. I refuse to worship a God I have to fear. It's as though christians are always on pins and needles.

God will not condem a Christian, so far as eternal punishment is concerned. Christians should have self-control in everything, such as alcohol, sex, sports, etc, so that they can devote their lives to serve God by serving mankind.

I think God has a lot more bigger problems than you liking beer. Read the last paragraph of Romans 8

according to the bible, which was written by several men after jesus' death and which therefore cannot be the words of god, jesus, who was god's son, made it a custom to imbibe alcohol (wine) at religious gatherings and which continues to this day at church every sunday. if the son of god could have an affinity for wine then there is something wrong. maybe you should start drinking wine and drop beer. of course you shall be condemned.
